Visions of Your Beauty

I walked by a mirror today, glancing as I passed by.

I stopped -
	walked back -
		   and stared.

For it wasn't me that I saw,
It was you.

I saw your features -
Your hair,
That little twinkle in your eye,
And special way you grin.

People have told me for years that I look like you,
Laugh like you,
And show the same kindness.

Today, I saw it for myself
And I could not have been more proud.

Happy Mother's Day!
